Our Process
The Process
Our process has evolved over the years with input from our clients. We designed the process with efficiency in mind, knowing that both your time and our time is valuable.
Meeting Preparation
In order to prepare for the meeting, we request that you gather your financial documents and fill out a questionnaire.
Initial Meeting
The goal of the initial meeting is for us to understand what is important to you and to see if our services are a good fit for your situation. At this meeting, we will explore your core values and how your financial strategy can support these values. We will review your current financial snapshot based on the documents that you provide in the meeting. By the end of the meeting, we will determine if there is a good fit between our services and your needs, including fees for preparation of a comprehensive plan.
Analysis
After we have identified your life goals and available resources, we prepare a comprehensive plan based on the information you've provided to us. We research your questions and explore customized solutions designed to assist you in achieving your goals.
Recommendation Meeting
Approximately 2 weeks after our initial meeting, we will meet to go over your comprehensive plan and review the recommendations. We will explain the benefits of the recommendations and how they support your life goals. We will answer any of your questions.
Implementation
Our services don't stop at the recommendations. The most crucial and challenging part of the process is implementation as it requires action. We will work with you on the process, guiding you on all the necessary actions. We will ensure that you understand the information that is provided during this phase and that you are comfortable with any reporting or analysis that is generated.
Ongoing communication
We conduct annual update meetings with all of our clients to review goals and progress. We will also meet as needed if there has been a major life change (e.g. retirement, or a birth of a child) of if you have a challenging issue that you would like to review. We also provide a monthly newsletter to our clients with relevant planning ideas and concepts.
As your financial planners, we want you to feel comfortable with contacting us at any time with issues that you are facing that affect your financial life. We are there to assist you, a resource to provide a second opinion for any financial decision you are making. We also extend our services to your family and friends.
